Fallen was the result of a collaboration between Reykjavík Botanical Garden and Iceland University of the Arts. The installation, which consisted of tree material in four different states, was a site-specific piece, reflecting on the idea of non-human personhood and death in nature, drawing on New Materialist thought. It came out of interactions with the gardeners at Grasagarður and labour-intensive engagement with five felled trees, eventually presenting them back in their place of origin, transformed into paper, fabric and wood chip.
